Conveyancing in plain English

It’s all about transferring a property title from one party to another and covering all legal requirements and obligations to the buyer, the seller and all government bodies. Yes, it can be complex but that’s what I’m here for: To look after the process and pass on the results.

Meet Terry Allen, Certified Practicing Conveyancer

“I’ve helped thousands of people with property sales and purchases since 1990. I specialise in all facets of conveyancing for residential properties, businesses, commercial properties, rural properties, trusts and more throughout NSW.

I am honoured to be a Life Member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers NSW after serving on their Council for 20 years and being their President for 10 years. I am also a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers. As a former member of their National Council for 10 years and their President for 3 years, I was committed to advancing and advocating conveyancing services across Australia. We created a number of conveyancing benchmarks during this time and achieved good standards of practice for the industry. I am proud of my contributions and now excited to be back practicing conveyancing along the South Coast NSW region, up to and including outer Sydney communities.

Put my 30 years of know-how to work for your best conveyancing results.

“Whether you’re a First Home Buyer or moving to a retirement community, you’ll have the same careful, complete conveyancing process from contract draft to settlement. I’m equally experienced with commercial and business buying and selling, and will spare no detail with my conscientious approach to conveyancing to make it painless and worry-free.” – Terry Allen

What to look for in a conveyancer

Select an experienced professional who works on your side. A few things to consider…

1 Local Knowledge.
It helps to know the landscape –literally. When a conveyancer lives and works in the area you’re buying or selling, it’s a big advantage. Of course this presumes interest in the community, the area, the region and staying on top of the latest development.
1 Expert Insights.
Every project adds experience. The level of detail and in-depth understanding required for each conveyancing task takes patience and commitment. One of the reasons hiring a dedicated conveyancer rather than a lawyer may work to your advantage.
1 Trusted Performance.
If you’re buying or selling anytime soon, arrange conveyancing early to avoid delays, disappointment or worse –a job done hastily. You can’t rush proper conveyancing performance. It’s all about being insightful and thorough. Dot every i, cross every t.
1 Broad Experience.
Terry Allen has seen it all --and is familiar with all types of property purchase or sales conveyancing. These include projects involving Torrens title, strata title, neighbourhood title, community title, company title or old system title.

Select conveyancing by price?
Think twice…

Without a doubt, every property sale or purchase is unique and should be treated as such. ‘One price fits all conveyancing’ is bad business. Any good conveyancer spends a different amount of time on each property conveyance and only gets better with experience. That’s why I provide professional, personalised estimates on each property task (when required).

Why more people say “Terry Allen is MY Conveyancer…”

    Brian and LisaMichael and Lisa
  • Great choice of someone to do our conveyancing.  Nothing was a problem.  Terry went far and beyond what we have experienced from previous transactions.  Would happily use Terry again and recommend him.

  • “Terry looked after conveyancing the last four homes I’ve purchased (and one I didn’t), and has always kept me in the loop for progress –including hiccups or warning signs. Really thorough and very good to have on your side.”
